Dana Tai Soon Burgess & Co. performed Michio
Ito solos and Images from the Embers at George
Mason University on October 25, 2006. Pamela
Squires of the Washington Post wrote of Embers:
"This abstract dance piece about the trauma of war
is spare and evocative. Movement is precise and
uncluttered. It leaves room for rumination. Each
moment is deliciously rife with implications."

Dana Tai Soon Burgess's new evening-length work commissioned by the Washington Performing Arts Society was presented March 3, 2006 at Lisner Auditorium. Sarah Kaufman of the Washington Post wrote:
"the chronic pain of lost love fills the stage like smoke, as subtle lighting, dark music and tense, deliberately hesitant movement create a layered impression of mourning."
