has danced for numerous companies and
choreographers in the Washington, D.C. and New York
City areas, including City Dance Ensemble,
Mason/Rhynes Productions, Doug Varone, Dan Wagoner,
Meriam Rosen and Ed Tyler. Ms. Fink received her
Masters of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the
University of Maryland, College Park. Ms. Fink was
recognized as an Emerging Performer at the 2003
Metro D.C. Dance Awards and for her Individual
Performance of "Harmonica Breakdown" choreographed
by Jane Dunley in 2004. She is a faculty member in
the Department of Theater and Dance at the George
Washington University and teaches in Montgomery
County Public Schools.

Chupashko
graduated with honors from The George Washington
University where she double majored in Business
Administration and Dance. As a Presidential Arts
Scholar, she had the opportunity to work with guest
artists such as Miguel Guttierrez, Jennifer Nugent,
Benjamin Levy and Neil Greenberg. She has also had
the opportunity to perform with The Maida Withers
Dance Construction Company and Clancyworks.
was born in Taiwan and studied with the Tsoying
Dance Division in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. She received a
B.F.A. from the University of Florida's New World
School of the Arts (NWSA) where she graduated on
the Dean's list with honors. She performed in the
Dance Festival in Taipei, Taiwan, Tokyo, Japan and
in Malaysia. She has performed professionally with
the Miami Ballet (1996-1998) and the Nevada Ballet
Theater, NBT (1998-2002). Her performances include
In the Glow of the Night, Les Sylphides, The
Nutcraker, Romeo and Juliet, Coppilia, Dracula,
Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Don Quixote,
as well as other classical and contemporary work.
She is also currently a member of the faculty with
the Arlington Center for Dance and The Metropolitan
Fine Arts Center.
Shu-Chen Cuff
Sarah Halzack
graduated suma cum laude from The George Washington
University where she double majored in Journalism
and Dance. She has also had the opportunity to
perform with The Maida Withers Dance Construction
Company and The Sonia Plumb Dance Company. Ms.
Halzack was an intern at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance
Festival in 2005. Sarah would like to thank her
family for all of their support.
studied the methodology of the Royal Academy of
Dancing at Kimura Izumi Ballet Academy in Japan.
There she obtained the title of ARAD (Advanced
Royal Academy of Dancing) in 1994. While attending
college in Japan she studied many forms of dance
with an emphasis on modern and Japanese dance.
After working with the Japan Ballet Association and
other dance groups, she came to the DC metropolitan
area and has worked for Mr. Burgess since 1999. She
also danced for Train Wreck Dance Company. Ms.
Nitadori performed a lead role of the 2003 and 2004
national tours of Burgess' Nightingale, as well as
in the international tour of Tracings. Ms. Nitadori
was recognized as the Outstanding Individual
Performer from the Annual Metro D.C. Dance Awards,
2003.
Miyako
Nitadori
graduated with honors from Ohio University where he
earned a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography.
He performed in works by Sean Curran, Azaguno,
African Dance and Percussion Ensemble and the
Shelter Repertory Dance Theater. Southall’s
choreography has been performed at the American
College Dance Festival and at Concordia University
in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Southall won the
Midwest Championships in Irish dance in 2001;
honorary placement at the 2002 World Irish Dancing
Championships, held in Glasgow, Scotland. He was a
technical production intern at Jacobs Pillow Dance
Festival in 2005.
Kelly Moss
Southall
was originally trained in Latin America where she
received critical acclaim for dancing with various
contemporary dance and dance theater companies. In
Ecuador and Peru the companies included Humanizarte
Pata Cabra and Integro with which she toured
extensively, and she has also performed as part of
the international arm of the American Dance
Festival. Recently she reset Burgess' work Silk
Roads on the National Ballet of Peru in Lima. She
has been a dance teacher since 1991.
Tati (Maria Del
Carmen) Valle-Riestra
received his early training with Ecole de Danse
Contemporaine, while growing up in Geneva,
Switzerland. He later earned his diploma at the
Stuttgart Ballet School in Germany. In New York,
Mr. Rouiller trained at the Joffrey Ballet School
and with David Howard. He has performed with Merce
Cunningham, Ballet Chicago, Milwaukee Ballet, Ohio
Ballet, Joffrey Ballet of Chicago and the Goteburg
Operans in Sweden.

Alvarez
is a graduate of Indiana University with a BFA in
Graphic Design and a BA in Creative Studies in
Dance and Technology, with honors. In 2005 he was
the recipient of the Battenhouse Award for
Outstanding Performance in Contemporary Dance by
the National Society of Arts and Letters,
Bloomington Chapter. He also attended the American
Dance Festival on scholarship in 2006. Alvarez also
received a fellowship through the Hispanic
Scholarship Fund/McNamara Family Grant for his work
in dance and technology. In 2005, he had the
pleasure of presenting his studies in video dance
collaborations at the National Dance Education
Conference in Buffalo, NY. His dance for camera
work has been featured nationally in numerous
galleries and film festivals.
